Dove

For Poetry Friday, hosted today at Check It Out, a 12 word poem I wrote for Sylvia Vardell's Poetry Tag Time, entitled Dove. I had to follow (tag) Betsy Franco's poem Crow, and it was snowing outside at the time (Sounds good).

Dove

A dove is just a crow
Covered by a foot of snow.

It actually looks more like a pigeon covered by a foot of snow.

Pigeon doesn't have quite the same ring to it, does it?
Great poem.

Pigeons on the grass alas
and also on the bus, a fuss.
Thanx, Tabatha

It has a stateliness about it, though - more dove than pigeon-like to me. Great poem, either way!

A pigeon is officially a Rock Dove Columba livia, so your photo is right on the money!

Thanks Tara and yes, Diane, I forgot that a pigeon is a ROCK DOVE. Maybe there's a book in there.

Twelve words. Wow.

And to prove I'm not a robot, I have to type in the number 12...creepy...

when robots can type the number twelve we're in big trouble!

The snow is especially pleasing on such a hot day!
