Great news from NCTE: The illustrious industrious Lee Bennett Hopkins has won the NCTE Excellence in Poetry Award. BRAVO Lee!
Winning the 1995 Lee Bennett Hopkins Poetry Award with my beast feast got my career in first gear and I got to meet Lee at the dinner in Hershey, PA.
